OVERVIEW: Our group is interested in understanding and controlling light-matter interactions in low-dimensional materials.
RESEARCH: Our researches focus on ultrafast quantum manipulation of novel physical properties. These include exciton spin-valley in van der Waals heterostructures, helical and chiral nature of Dirac fermions in 3D and 2D topological insulators, topological plasmons, and single photon emitters for quantum information science.
“ULTRAFAST” SPECIALTY: We are specialized in probing ultrafast dynamics from visible to terahertz (THz) ranges. After fabricating nanostructure devices, we measure the nonequilibrium optical and electrical transients down to sub-micrometer (sub-µm) with sub-picosecond (sub-ps) resolution.
